The F-35 Tech Planning Team will host an S&T Outreach Event August 21-23 to learn about emerging technologies and state-of-the-art advancements in the following three focus areas:
(1) Additive Manufacturing: Seeking innovation in design tools, aerospace
applications, and aerospace qualification methods
(2) Artificial Intelligence: Seeking innovation for the F-35's Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) to address data quality issues, with abilities to self-correct or generate recommendations for adjudication in real time. Seeking innovation for Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) to enhance predictive maintenance.
(3) Thermal Management: Seeking innovative technologies to advance current aircraft performance in the area of cooling
If you are interested in briefing a technology applicable to the F-35 Enterprise, please submit an abstract, no more than one-page in length, one per technology, specifying the:
-- innovative nature of the technology
-- applicability to the F-35 Enterprise
-- Technology Readiness Level (TRL) or maturity of the technology
Technologies of interest should be TRL 2-6.
Questions related to the outreach event as well as final abstracts may be submitted to F-35TechPlanning@jsf.mil. Please submit your abstracts no later than July 20; invitations to brief will be provided as abstracts are approved. Briefing dates and times will be scheduled in advanced and limited as the schedule allows. Briefings will be limited to twenty minutes per technology, per company.
In the event the schedule fills, opportunities to meet will be offered at a later date.
