MISSION:  To maximize small business opportunities within Air Force acquisitions, thereby (a) promoting efficiencies and innovation, (b) fostering competition, and (c) expanding the defense industrial base.

Eligible small businesses have the ability to develop their qualifications and ability to compete for prime contracts and subcontract awards by partnering with large businesses.

HUBZONE

Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) is an economically distressed area as determined by the Small Business Administration (SBA).

8(a)

A small disadvantaged business is a small firm owned by one or more individuals who are socially and economically disadvantaged.

VOSB

Keynote Speaker

Ted Bujewski, associate director, DoD Office of Small Business Programs, co-manages the Rapid Innovation Fund Program, a $150M Department of Defense program focusing on the rapid integration of technologies into defense systems. He oversees approx. 100 research and development projects annually. Bujewski holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, an MS in Computer Science from the University of California at Los Angeles, and an MS in Operations Research and BS in Applied Mathematics from Case Western Reserve University.
